PENS (Percutaneous Electrical Nerve field Stimulation): A New Path for Pain Management:

At Serenity Springs, we’re proud to offer access to the Morph Device. This is an FDA-cleared, percutaneous electrical nerve field stimulator (PENS) applied gently to the ear with very few, if any side effects. This device has safely been installed on thousands of patients for decades with an excellent safety profile and works by triggering the nervous system to produce neuropeptides. 

These neuropeptides are amino acid chains which cause a chain of events in the nervous system that produce endorphins and enkephalins, which help mediate the perception of pain and mediate the inflammatory response among many other positive effects throughout the body. Clinical studies indicate that they play vital roles in pain modulation, emotional regulation, hormonal control, immune function, and positively effect other physiological processes.
